     ... و جلادش استوار ببست و رسن‌ها فرود آورد، و آواز دادند که سنگ دهید، هیچکس دست به سنگ نمی‌کرد و همه زارزار می‌گریستند خاصه نیشابوریان، پس مُشتی رند را سیم دادند تا سنگ زنند و مَرد خود مُرده بود که جلادش رسن در گلو افگنده بود و خبه کرده.

     ... va jallâd-aš ostovâr bebast o rasan-hâ forud âvard, va âvâz dadand ke sang dahid, hičkas dast be sang nemikard o hame zâr-zâr mi-geristand xâsse Neyšâburiyân, pas mošti rend râ sim dâdand tâ sang zanand, va mard xod morde bud, ke jallâd-aš rasan dar galu afgande bud o xabe karde.

     ... and the hangman tied him (Hasanak the Vizier) hardly and pulled down the ropes, and [they] shouted "stone him", [but] nobody did and everybody was crying loudly, especially the Nishapuris, so they gave silver [coins] to a bunch of knaves to throw stones, but the man was dead, because the hangman had already put the rope on his neck and strangled him.
