   • John 4:17, KJV:

     นางทูลตอบว่า "ดิฉันไม่มีสามีค่ะ"‎

     naang tuun dtɔ̀ɔp wâa "dì-chǎn mâi mii sǎa-mii kâ"

     The woman answered and said, I have no husband.

   • Ruth 2:7, KJV:

     นางพูดว่า 'ขออนุญาตให้ดิฉันเดินตามคนเกี่ยวคอยเก็บข้าวตกระหว่างฟ่อนข้าวเถอะค่ะ'‎

     naang pûut wâa 'kɔ̌ɔ à-nú-yâat hâi dì-chǎn dəəm dtaam kon-gìao kɔɔi gèp kâao dtòk rá-wàang fɔ̂n-kâao tə̀ kâ

     And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves:

   • 2 Kings 4:26, KJV:

Usage notes

• The interjection/particle was formerly used by male nobles, but now it is used only by females.
• The interjection/particle used by males these days is ครับ ‎(kráp).
