Usage notes

First used at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, by Duke Uppakit Sinlapasan in 2476 BE (1933/34 CE). Officially ordered to be used by the public by the dictatorial government of Field Marshall Plaek Phibunsongkhram in 2486 BE (1943/44 CE). Compare Khmer សួស្ដី ‎(suŏsdei).
