-  이응 (ieung), a jamo (letter) of the alphabet of the Korean writing system, hangeul.
-  In the North Korean order, it is both the eighth and the twentieth jamo. In the South Korean order, it is the seventh.
 
-  At the beginning of a syllable, ㅇ (ieung) is not pronounced. At the end, it is a velar nasal ([ŋ]), i.e. similar to the English ng.
