국민학교 • (gungminhakgyo) (hanja 國民學校)
Borrowed from Japanese 国民学校, which substituted 小学校 between 1941-1947. Replaced by 초등학교 in 1996 in order to liquidate remnants of colonial and militaristic influence by Japanese empire.
