1. The honorific form of the particles 이 (i) and 가 (ga) denoting the subject of a sentence.

   선생님께서 저에게 사과를 주셨습니다.‎

   Seonsaengnim-kkeseo jeo-ege sagwa-reul jusyeotseumnida.

   The teacher gave an apple to me.

Usage notes

Used in relation with animate objects for which the speaker wishes to show respect.
