Invention of the Cross

1. The alleged discovery of the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified by St Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine, in 326 CE.
2. The church festival observed on 3 May in commemoration of St Helena's alleged discovery of the so-called True Cross.
