Unknown. Maybe it has the same sense development as Proto-Slavic *pьkъlъ(“****”), from Proto-Indo-European*pik-(“pitch”), thus cognate to Ancient Greek πίσσα(píssa). If this were the case, it would require Pre-Albanian *pikwa(Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
