- Natural use of Türe is found in parts of eastern Germany and Switzerland.
- In many parts of western and southern Germany, Türe is commonly found on signs, such as: Türe geschlossen halten. — “Keep door shut.” This, in spite of the fact that the form is now quite rare in edited texts, and moreover is never used in the respective regional vernaculars. It seems to be a kind of officialese hypercorrection.[1]
