Unknown. A mountain with the same name exists in Berat, Albania and other places share a very similar name, namely Tomorrica in Skrapar, Τόμαρος(Tómaros) and Illyrian Temus. All of this suggests a common Illyrian origin. Another hypothesis put forth is the compound τέμνω(témnō) + ὅρος(hóros) 'sharp mountain'
