1. (takes a reflexive pronoun) to repent (to feel bad about one’s past misdeeds)

   Nunca me arrependerei.‎

   I shall never repent.

2. (takes a reflexive pronoun, transitive or auxiliary with de and a verb in the personal or impersonal infinitive) to regret (to feel about about having done something)

   Os terroristas se arrependeram do ataque.‎

   The terrorists regretted the attack.

   Farei vocês se arrependerem de ter nascido.‎

   I will make you regret having been born.
