Usage notes

• Some political terms called kultur- in Sweden, are in Finland called konst-, a Swedish translation from taide ‎(“art”).
• In the Swedish government, these issues were handled by the ecklesisastikdepartement ‎(“ministry of ecclesiastics”) before 1968, by the utbildningsdepartement ‎(“ministry of education”) 1968-1991, and hence by the kulturdepartement.
