1. (fandom slang) Section of a periodical in which readers' letters are published.
   • 1958, Holland, Ralph Merridette, Ghu's Lexicon, page 3:

     LETTERCOL - A letter column. One of the favorite haunts of the actifans.

   • 1971 November, Kaufman, Jerry, “The Flophouse?”, in Science-Fiction Five-Yearly, number 5, page 30:

     The lettercol is nearly incomprehensible, filled with references to some obscure in-group word, "prime".
