Etymology 2

A parallel form is shkrep, continuing Proto-Albanian *krepa 'body', cognate to Sanskrit कृप् ‎(ḱṛp, “shape, beautiful appareance”), Latin corpus ‎(“body”), Old High German hrēf ‎(“belly”). Similar sense development in Germanic (cf. Gothic galeiks ‎(galeiks, “like”) from leik ‎(leik, “body”)^[2]
