slash fiction (plural slash fictions)

  1. A work of fiction (especially fanfiction) based on celebrities or fictional characters involved in a romantic and/or sexual relationship, especially where the sexual orientation of a (usually straight) canonical character has been changed.

      But Buffy has also generated enormous amounts of slash fiction. The cult television text and the rise of the Internet have both had an important aspect on the development of slash fiction.
