   Férjemnek is azt szoktam volt mondani, hogy a gyermekek érzik meg a legjobban, ki a jó ember. - I used to tell my husband too that children know best who is a good man.

Usage notes

• This structure is peculiar in that it uses the now archaic past perfect tense. The regular past tense of szokik refers to the present. See szokik for more information and alternatives.
• Despite its dated status, it is found in some dialects.

Conjugation

• Conjugate szokik and add the auxiliary verb volt.
