1. to put together, to assemble

   Pierwszy samochód złożyłem ze złomu.

   I put together my first car from scrap.

2. to fold

   Złóż kartkę na pół.

   Fold the piece of paper in half.

3. to lay (eggs)

   Po kopulacji samica złoży jaja na ziemi w płytkim zagłębieniu.

   After copulation, the female will lay eggs on the ground in a shallow pit.

4. to file (documents); to submit

   Podania należy złożyć osobiście w dziekanacie przed 12 grudnia.

   Requests should be filed in person in the dean's office before December 12th.

   Dziś o 14:00 minister rolnictwa złożył dymisję.

   Today at 2 PM, the farming minister submitted his resignation.

5. (politics, figuratively) to voluntarily give up a public function

   W związku z niedawną aferą, Kowalski złożył tekę ministra skarbu.

   In connection with the recent scandal, Kowalski gave up the post of finance minister.
