     איזהו קטן כל שאינו יכול לרכוב על כתפיו של אביו ולעלות מירושלים להר הבית דברי בית שמאי ובית הלל אומרים כל שאינו יכול לאחוז בידו של אביו ולעלות מירושלים להר הבית שנאמר שלש רגלים‎

     'eizehu katan? kol she'eino yakhol lirkhov 'al k'tefav shel 'aviv v'la'alot mirushalayim l'har habayit, divrei beit sham'ai. uveit hilel 'om'rim, kol she'eino yakhol le'ekhoz b'yado shel 'aviv v'la'alot mirushalayim l'har habayit, shene'emar "shalosh r'galim".

     What is the definition of a child? One who is not able to ride upon his father's shoulders, and to go up from Jerusalem to the mountain of the Temple. These are the words of the house of Shammai. But the house of Hillel say, anyone who is not able to take hold of his father's hand, and to go up from Jerusalem to the mountain of the House, as it is said, "three times."

     אֵיכָה יָבְשׁוּ בּוֹרוֹת הַמַּיִם / כִּיכָּר הַשּׁוּק רֵיקָה / וְאֵין פּוֹקֵד אֶת הַר הַבַּיִת / בָּעִיר הָעַתִּיקָה.‎

     'eikhá yav'shú borót hamáyim / kikár hashúk reiká / v'éin pokéd 'et har habáyit / ba'ír ha'atiká.

     How the cisterns have dried out / The marketplace is empty / And there is no one visiting the Temple Mount / In the Old City.

     חָזַרְנוּ אֶל בּוֹרוֹת הַמַּיִם / לַשּׁוּק וְלַכִּיכָּר / שׁוֹפָר קוֹרֵא בְּהַר הַבַּיִת / בָּעִיר הָעַתִּיקָה.‎

     khazárnu 'el borót hamáyim / lashúk v'lakikár / shofár koré b'har habáyit / ba'ír ha'atiká.

     We have returned to the cisterns / To the market and to the square / A shofar is sounding on the Temple Mount / In the Old City.
