   She bina ônumôti-te bôsheche.

   He/she sat down without permission.

2. except, excluding

Usage notes

While Bengali typically uses postpositions in place of prepositions, this word (as seen in the examples above) is often used prepositionally. That is to say it can precede the noun it modifies, while most words in its class will follow the noun.
