1. (used to indicate a time or event as mentioned before or supposed to be understood.)

Usage notes

In old usage, the phrase may be used even when the time or event in question has never been mentioned before or cannot be understood. For example, King Mongkut's Royal Autograph Chronicle of Siam (พระราชพงศาวดาร ฉบับพระราชหัตถเลขา) says:

ศักราช ๗๘๘ ปีมเมีย อัฐศก ครั้งนั้น เกิดเพลิงไหม้พระราชมณเฑียรสถาน ศักราช ๗๘๙ ปีมแม นพศก ครั้งนั้น เกิดเพลิงไหม้พระที่นั่งตรีมุข‎
