1. (US, informal) A one-thousand dollar banknote.
   • 1957, William Frank Buckley, in the National Review, volume 3, page 282:

     It seems that the President [...] hit the till for a few G-notes for the love of a blue-eyed brunette with a record of seven convictions as a prostitute.

   • 2000, Mark Ribowsky, Don't look back: Satchel Paige in the shadows of baseball, page 168:

     Satch took receipt of his two G-notes at a propitious moment.

   • 2002, Julie Kenner, Nobody But You:

     My tight-skirted kitten pressed two G-notes into my hand. "Please, Mr. Monroe. I don't know where else to turn."
