1. (chemistry) The organic reaction of an aryl- or vinyl-boronic acid with an aryl- or vinyl-halide or pseudohalide, such as triflates, catalyzed by a palladium(0) complex, widely used to synthesize polyolefins, styrenes, and substituted biphenyls.
