agyon-

1. (verbal prefix) It has two different but related meanings:
   1. When it is attached to verbs indicating strong physical effects, it means to kill something or someone using physical force.

      üt ‎(“to hit”) → agyonüt ‎(“to strike dead”)

   2. When it is attached to verbs expressing several kinds of activities, it indicates exaggeration, to do something to excess, beyond measure.

      un ‎(“to be bored of”) → Agyonunta magát. - He was bored to death.

      dicsér ‎(“to praise”) → agyondicsér ‎(“to praise to the skies”)
