Usage notes
The terms parakeet and aratti are not used 100% overlappingly. Birds in genera Rhynchopsitta, Ognorhynchus, Pionites, Pionopsitta, Hapalopsittaca, Graydidascalus, Pionus and Deroptyus are called parrots in English but aratti in Finnish. On the other hand the parakeets of genera Eunymphicus, Cyanoramphus and Psittacula are kaija in Finnish.
