- If I believe in none of the existing revealed religions, I ought not remain in one of them for merely cultural reasons, and by my staying, mislead people about my convictions, and foster intercultural separation hereditarily through endless generations, but I should — if my country's laws permit — openly and offically call myself a “free-believer”, not, however, identifying free-belief specifically with atheism, but reserving to my beliefs full freedom.
