Definition 2025
buorre
buorre
Northern Sami
Adjective
buorre (comparative buoret, superlative buoremus)
Usage notes
The adjective buorre does not have a separate attributive form. Instead, it declines in the same case and number as the noun it modifies. There are two exceptions to this:
- With a noun in the illative or locative singular, the accusative/genitive form buori is used.
- With a noun in the illative or comitative plural, the accusative/genitive form buriid can be optionally used, alongside the regular forms buriide and buriiguin.
The nominative singular form is slightly irregular as well, ending in -e rather than -i.
