  1. (Britain, dialectal, chiefly Southern England, of milk, butter or cheese) Having an unpleasant taste or smell because it came from a cow that ate cammock.

      Folklore English farmers certainly disliked restharrow for another reason. Although it was eaten with relish by the cows, it used to taint the taste of the milk, butter and cheese, and ‘cammocky’ butter was a nuisance in counties where restharrow is common.
