From Proto-Albanian*den(i)-, from from Proto-Indo-European*dʰew-(“to run, flow”). Cognate to Sanskrit धन्वन्(dhánvan-, “desert, arid land, steppe”), Ancient Greek θέω(théō, “run”, verb) and Old English dēaw(“dew”)[1].
