i-ați (contraction of îi and ați)

1. îi as dative of el or ea

   i-ați zis ceva?

   did you guys say something to him/her?

2. îi as accusative of ei

   sunt sigur că i-ați făcut să facă ceva incredibil de prost

   I'm sure that you guys made them do something incredibly stupid

Usage notes

Like all such contractions in Romanian, i-ați has no lexical meaning by itself.
