Usage notes

• Collective numbers are used before nouns denoting people of mixed sex, personal and animate neuter nouns (of which there are few), and non-masculine personal pluralia tanta. They are used with nouns in the genitive in nominative, accusative, instrumental, and vocative position.

oboje studentów – both students (one male and one female)

oboje zwierząt – both animals

oboje drzwi – both doors
