Ülo
From pre-Christian Livonian Ilo (“joy”) , cognate with Finnish ilo, latinised as Ylo in the Chronicle of Henry of Livonia. Revived through 19th century literature and by folk etymology associated with Estonian ülev (“exalted”) and üllas (“noble”).
