Old Armenian
Etymology
From Iranian *Raxsā- (“swift-flowing”) from *ra(n)g- (“to move swiftly”); compare Sanskrit रङ्घते (raṅghate, “to hasten, run”). Adopted by Armenians in the 7–6th century BC, during intensive contacts with the Median Empire. Old Georgian რახსი (raxsi) and Ancient Greek Ἀράξης (Aráxēs) are from Iranian as well.
