   ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋದಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಆನಂದಿಸುವನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಪಡುವಳು.‎

   nannannu nōdidare avanu ānaṃdisuvanu mattu avaḷu āścarya paḍuvaḷu.

   If they see me, he will rejoice and she will feel surprise.

Usage notes

"ಮತ್ತು" can connect sentences and clauses and all words. However, when two verbs share a subject, a participial construction is more common. For example, "he sees me and rejoices" would be translated as "having seen me, he rejoices" ("ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ").
