連声 (shinjitai kanji, kyūjitai kanji 連聲, hiragana れんじょう, romaji renjō, historical hiragana れんじやう)
- (linguistics) a morphological change of an initial syllable of the second kanji under the influence of the historical coda of the first kanji in a word, such as 天皇, whose pronunciation is not ten’ō but tennō.
