-ár

1. (noun suffix) Added to a verb to form a noun indicating the place of the action or the doer or the result of the action.

   váj ‎(“to deepen”) → vájár ‎(“collier, miner”)

Usage notes

• (noun suffix) Harmonic variants:

  -ár is added to back vowel words

  -ér is added to front vowel words
