Elaphrium

Elaphrium tomentosum

Elaphrium Tacamahaca
), and also from East Indian trees of the genus
Calophyllum
; also, the resinous exhudation of the balsam poplar.

(Bot.)
Any tree yielding tacamahac resin, especially, in North America, the balsam poplar, or balm of Gilead (
Populus balsamifera
).
