brošma
From the genitive of Proto-Slavic *boršьno (“flour, food”); the Body of Christ (which is commemorated on Corpus Christi) is held by believers to be food for the soul. Cognate with Upper Sorbian brošma, Czech brašna (“pannier”), Old Church Slavonic брашьно (brašĭno, “food”), and Ukrainian бо́рошно (bórošno, “flour”).
