- (historical) The letter Ϝαῦ (Waû) (later called δίγαμμα (dígamma)), representing the sound /w/ which was lost by most dialects early on in the literary history of Ancient Greek. It remained in use in archaic dialects, such as Arcadocypriot Greek and as the number 6.
