ճանաչել զիմաստութիւն եւ զխրատ, իմանալ զբանս հանճարոյ • ‎(čanačʿel zimastutʿiwn ew zxrat, imanal zbans hančaroy)

1. To recognise wisdom and guidance; to know the creations of the greats.

Usage notes

This phrase from Solomon’s Book of Proverbs (1:2) is said to be the first sentence written in Armenian by St. Mesrop Mashtots after he devised the Armenian alphabet.
