• Note that the second part of this compound preposition is the preposition מִ־ ‎(mi-) or מִן ‎(min). Therefore, this preposition is inflected simply as חוּץ ‎(khuts) plus the inflected forms of מִ־ or מִן; and when מִ־ is used, it undergoes the same vowel changes that it always does.
