1. (distributive suffix) Used to form the distributive-temporal case.

   ősz ‎(“autumn”) → őszönte ‎(“every autumn”)

Usage notes

• (distributive suffix) It is used only with temporal expressions. Variants:

  -onta is added to some back vowel words ending in a consonant

  nap ‎(“day”) → naponta ‎(“daily”)

  -anta is added to some back vowel words ending in a consonant

  nyár ‎(“summer”) → nyaranta ‎(“every summer”)

  -ente is added to unrounded front vowel words ending in a consonant

  év ‎(“year”) → évente ‎(“yearly”)

  -önte is added to rounded front vowel words ending in a consonant

  ősz ‎(“autumn”) → őszönte ‎(“every autumn”)
