Old Armenian

Etymology

Composed of the stem vowel -ո- ‎(-o-) and the Proto-Indo-European postposition *-dʰy(V) or *-gʰ followed by a front vowel. Compare Ancient Greek -θι ‎(-thi) in οὐρανό-θι ‎(ouranó-thi, “in heaven”).

Ačaṙean connects with -ջ ‎(-ǰ) in գեղջ ‎(gełǰ) and calls it an “augmentative genitive-dative marker”.
