-dököl

1. (frequentative suffix, rare) Added to a verb to form a verb to express the frequent repetition of an action.

   öl ‎(“to kill”) → öldököl ‎(“to slaughter, massacre”)

Usage notes

• (frequentative suffix) It is used only by a few one-syllable verbs. No longer productive. Variants:

  -dokol is added to back vowel verbs

  -dekel is added to unrounded front vowel verbs

  -dököl is added to rounded front vowel verbs
