-dös

1. (verb suffix) A frequentative suffix added to a one-syllable verb to form a new verb to express the frequent repetition of an action.

   lök ‎(“to push once”) → lökdös ‎(“to jostle, to push aside repetitively”)

Usage notes

• Harmonic variants:

  -dos is added to back vowel verbs

  -des is added to unrounded front vowel verbs

  -dös is added to rounded front vowel verbs
