1. Creates the superlative when preceding the comparative form of an adjective or an adverb.

   glic - wise

   a bu ghlice - wisest

   mòr - big

   a bu mhotha - biggest

Usage notes

• Lenites the following word.
• Only used in the past tense and the conditional mood. In the present and future tenses, as is used.
• Before vowels and words beginning with fh followed by a vowel the form used is a b'.
