1. A man who values personal realisation over more conventional measures of “success”, and searches for ways to improve himself, actively rejecting traditional ‘masculine’ traits, instead favouring friendliness, intelligence, humour, and a caring nature, compared with the man of yesteryear whose typical attributes were seen to be strength, toughness and respect.
