Usage notes
The Livonian-Estonian-Latvian LĒL doesn't elaborate on specific contexts. In Northeastern Europe (and probably much of the rest of continental Europe) the word is very commonly used to refer to different types of medical tests, drug screening and especially bloodwork. This is the most common context that the word can be encountered in on a conversational level, usually as a plurale tantum.
