- This word is somewhat awkward to inflect, especially in the plural. In order to circumvent it, one may use the alternative spelling cloisonnee. Another option is to use compounds, in which only the head word is inflected, e.g. cloisonné-työ, cloisonné-tekniikka, cloisonné-maljakko.
