Etymology 2

From Proto-Albanian *laurā, a rebuilt form after the stem in -eh₂, from Proto-Indo-European *leh₁u- ‎(“stone”). Cognate to Ancient Greek (Hom.) λᾶας ‎(lâas, “stone”) and Old Irish líe ‎(“stone”) and perhaps Old Armenian լեառն ‎(leaṙn)^[2].
