1. (after a number or noun) and a half, half past

   một đồng rưỡi

   a dollar and a half

   một tháng rưỡi

   a month and a half

   một trăm rưỡi

   one hundred fifty

   ba giờ rưỡi chiều

   half past three in the afternoon

   Hàng dạo này tăng gấp rưỡi.

   It grew by half in that time.

Usage notes

Rưỡi is used for halves of a whole, or for halves of time measurements, while rưởi is used for halves of larger numeric groupings such as hundreds or thousands.
